Kina,

I never dreamed that my college roommate and cousin would not only be such a big part of my life but of the lives of my daughters as well.  You have been so instrumental in developing the potential of both of my girls not only vocally but spiritually and mentally as well.  Linds working with you from the third grade on I know for a fact made it possible for her to achieve her goal of becoming Miss Teen Arkansas-America 2003, not to mention she and Kiley winning the Bob Evans Award at the Arkansas State Fair singing their vocal duet. I so appreciate the love and commitment you have shown them, singing is not just a "job" for you but a "joy" and lifestyle.

It's been so wonderful for me to know that the girls have learned the proper way to sing and yet at the same time to protect and grow their voices. I will never forget what you told Lindsey, "that your voice is a finely tuned instrument and you must take care of it accordingly." You truly are a special woman in our lives and we treasure the friendship as well as the lessons!!

I started voice lessons with Mrs. Kina during my senior year in high school! I had been asked to perform in the cast for the Miss Teen Arkansas America 2004 pageant! Knowing I get kind of nervous singing in front of people, I wanted to be fully prepared.  Well, Mrs. Kina and I had the best time working together throughout the year.  She worked with me getting songs together for church, pageants, or for just plain entertainment! She was absolutely remarkable, and I was amazed at how much my voice changed during that year! When the time finally came for me to sing with the cast at the 2004 Miss Teen Arkansas America pageant, everyone there was telling me how they couldn’t believe how much my voice had improved! I had to tell them it was all Mrs. Kina’s work! 

However, Mrs. Kina is more than just a voice teacher.  She is always there for her students giving them the love and support they need. She came to almost all of my performances, and when I won the Miss Arkansas Teen USA pageant, she gave me all of the support I needed!  She truly cares about her students and I couldn’t name anyone else I’d rather have as my voice teacher than Mrs. Kina!

Taking voice lessons from Mrs. Clayton was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I sing a lot in church, and since my lessons started, I have received several comments on how my singing and stage presence have improved.  My voice has become stronger and my confidence has soared.  With Mrs. Clayton as my voice coach, I know that I will realize my full potential as a singer. She's the best!

Voice lessons have helped me to develop a talent that God blessed me with. Mrs. Kina’s teaching style is very positive and encouraging and this has helped to build my confidence and self esteem. I enjoy singing in church and using my talent to share God’s word through music and song. I also enjoy talent competitions and pageants that allow me to compete with my music.
